FAMILY CONSTELLATION SESSION

This session is designed to be a first step towards Family Constellation group work, and an appropriate space in which you can have your questions answered and begin to explore your family dynamics in relation to an issue that has caused you stress and concern over time.

In this one-hour session we will work using symbols and you will begin to have a sense of the hidden ties that bind you to your family. In our daily circumstances what we are able to understand and notice about our family members is usually mere interpretation of more subtle connections.

When examined within a systemic framework, hidden loyalties (often to be traced back to the mother or father's ancestral line) can be revealed and released, bringing the whole family system to a better balance in which each family member can regain strength and experience love.

How does it work?

You might prefer an Individual Family Constellation to coming to a workshop. In an individual session you can have your own experience in a private setting or on the phone without anyone other than Swan hearing about your family and personal issues. The work is very similar to the process of the group workshop. We will do a full Constellation which includes everything that is necessary and important. This process is as effective as the work in a workshop.

As in a workshop, the process starts with what is called an “interview”. We will talk about your family of origin and any facts you can remember which have been fateful for your family. This can include unusual or early deaths of children, abortions, stillbirths, extra-marital relationships, war, migration, persecutions, crime, incidents, hardship, adoption, separation, accidents, addiction, diseases, forgotten ones, etc.

After enough information is gathered, we start the Constellation by setting up symbols for the different family members that are key to a resolution. Instead of using the workshop’s participants to represent family members Swan moves from one place to the next to tune in with each person in the Constellation. We work from there to develop the Constellation and uncover the hidden dynamics and systemic conflicts, maintaining a constant interaction between you and the person in your Constellation as represented by Swan.
